A Family Farm in the heart of Bastrop TX

Green-Pasture

We Grow Grass - Pure Green Grass

Pasture raised pork comes from pigs that live outside rather than confined indoors. Small-scale farmers who choose regenerative farming methods produce happier pigs and a healthier environment. Eaters of pasture raised pork love the fine marbling which is higher in Vitamin D and richer in monosaturated fats.

Why Choose Our Animals

Duroc Hogs – A Heritage Breed

Before factory farms became the norm for U.S. pork production heritage breeds abounded on small farms. Regenerative farming encompasses small scale pork production while working to save heritage breeds while raising tastier, richer meat. Heritage breed hogs, including Durocs, have old-world genetics prized for their superior marbling for juiciness, flavor, texture.

Lim-Flex Beef Cattle

Lim-Flex cattle are a hybrid composition of Limousin and Angus or Red Angus genetics. FLEX stands for Limousin Efficiency Cross (X) — a beef industry's option to profitablelity. Lim-Flex stands for Limousin with muscle and efficiency, along with flexibility, which is the most significant strength of this powerful genetic blend. The Limousin-Angus cross allows them to combine the marbling and maternal qualities of the Angus (with black or red) with the heavy muscling of the Limousin. Lim-Flex are easily incorporated into any crossbred operation, where they produce good seedstock. Females are very efficient, as they are adaptable to many different environments.

Dorper Sheep

A Dorper is a fast-growing meat-producing sheep. The Dorper is an easy-care animal that produces a short, light coat of wool and hair that is shed in late spring and summer. It was developed in South Africa.

This breed was developed by the crossing of a Dorset Horn x Blackhead Persian around the 1930s. The breed is well adapted to survive in the arid extensive regions of South Africa. It has high fertility and maternal instinct, combined with high growth rates and hardiness. The breed has the characteristic black head.
